Well, I understand brand loyalty especially when that brand pays the bills but all of those nationwide coverage plans and insurance and extra warrantees for products (i.e. tires) that HAVE to wear out through use and time are silly... goodyear tires are great when they're new (under 5,000 miles on them) but any time after that, my experience says it's hit or miss

those goodyear silentarmor tires have two steel belts and a layer of kevlar so i don't doubt they're a tough piece of rubber. there's still no real sidewall protection tho and thats where my goodyears have always failed me, i dunno, i just have a bitter taste in my mouth about goodyears...

don't get me wrong, they're great highway tires and they last forever when you use them for highway driving but i think the sidewalls just aren't there for off pavement.

Oh well - Rangermaniac is buying the tires, not us, haha - to each his own <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
