Hopefully they can price it within the realm of work truck pricing. For my uses, which is commuting, hauling mountain bike and then hauling mulch I don't need it (and not to wild about the looks) but this is a market Toyota needs to get in to. Thanks for the post.

Is it me or are these things just getting bulkier looking? The new tacoma and camry looks the same way and I am not digging the new style. Talk about a fancy truck, to fancy for my tastes. I still think the 00-04 model is the best looking anyways.
It is a nice truck, but I think yota will price to high for service people to use. This is still the major reason we see more domestic fullsize trucks, yota wants 2 arms and a leg for a tundra.

I long for a long bed crew cab, but the ground clearance (lack of) makes me shiver... I imagine both of them are 4x2 but you would need to put a serious lift on it, and still end up high centering...
Yikes.
not like I can afford a 60K truck either though...

I agree. Pretty soon they will all look like the ones in the Roger Rabbit movie. Trucks on steroids.

Interesting article. Sounds like Toyota is really counting on selling a lot of full size trucks.

Whoever designed that thing needs to be shot, freaking thing looks like a Ford F-150 with a Dodge Ram front bumper. I like the idea or it having a biger engine and a ton of room behind the front seats on the single cab versions but dang those suckers are looooooong I'll take a 2000-2006 please much better looking truck IMHO
