Hello all!

I've just returned from a big road trip through the Rocky Mountains and thought I'd share some thoughts and pics with the T100 faithful. I went from near Canada to near Mexico with many miles on the road, but I did make several trail runs in the dirt as well. This trip was mostly solo, but I did meet up with various friends along the way. Good times!

Here's a few trip stats -
total days - 40
total nights camped - 37
total miles - 6,317
total states visted - 7 (MT, ID, WY, CO, NM, UT, AZ)

Highlights included -
Polebridge, MT - great bakery and music festival - Aurorafest 2006
Valley of the Gods - near Monument Valley, UT
Lake City, CO - seeing old friends in the San Juan Mountains
Salmon River, Idaho - great 4wd trails, no people
Lake Koocanusa - near Libby, MT
Jemez Mountains - northern New Mexico
Four Corners region - no cops, no speed limit, right?
Kayenta, AZ - the largest Navajo Windtalkers Exhibit in the US (located in the local Burger King)

near Ennis, Montana -

I took about 2,000 images on this trip and I'll hopefully be getting a website together soon with even more pics and a comprehensive trip report. I have a trip report up on another site that caters to these type trips, if ErikB is cool with me linking to another board....?

Hope you all enjoy. The T100 is a really great outfit for exploring this great country's highways and backroads.

These are awesome pictures, some great post cards quality. It's great that your T100 gets well used for what it's built for. In the next few years, I hope to hit a few camps and trails with mine. Thanks for sharing.

Cool trip, you went right through my hometown and playground (I grew up in Kayenta, and Valley of the Gods and Monument Valley were both areas that I spent a great deal of time in) <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Need a Spot
Nice pictures!!! I hope to get out next summer with my children to explore the 4 corners region and maybe even ID, MT and WY on the way to Glacier National Park. Any pointers for those of us who are thinking of undertaking a long term road trip?

BTW, How long have you lived in Lander? I have a friend who lived up there years ago.

Kevin

Hook up with AAA and Good Sams . Some of the areas you'd like to visit are quite remote.

Either club can hook you up with trip tickets and information for your trip. Respective State Parks websites are a good source as well for accommodations/info.

That's just the planning part.
