Phil,

Emailed them with that exact question.....Nope !! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />

I'll let you know if i hear about the BC parts vehicles.

Drew

What question did you ask?
The reason I ask is they may have said NO as they don't want to get involved with shipping abroad/export.

If you didn't ask, it may be worth asking if they have a regulator?? as we know they had 2 yesterday if they say NO then you can draw your conclusions from that.

Eh, I thought of that too <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
I just asked if they had any rubber sunroof surrounds available and they explained all theirs were eroded. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />
Unless they know where "@ rogers.com" is I think they were being truthful <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

One thought I had, what is the difference between the seal on the moon roof on the 5door truck & yours??
How is the steel of the roof formed??

Could you get 2 for you & Phil out of 1 for the moonroof model.

Or, as normal, am I talking out of my <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" /> .... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

If you guys can get the name of the sunroof manufacturer you might get lucky, but I can't see it being to difficult for a glasier (glasscutter/fitter) to put in a generic seal that would work. I mean most seals are bolstered with a neoprene foam anyways.

always working

Wow Steve! Thanks for checking! We knew that certain things would be difficult to source.

My chassis number is V24-4006307. Be very interesting to see what recalls were done, if any?

Drew, I pulled part numbers off CAP Japan, but I don't know if they'd do you any good? I'm still looking around to see if there's a NA equivalent... thanks for the headsup on the Amigo! I'll see if I can check that too...

Phil

Guys
Just recieved an email from mitsubishi-cars uk
"We can confirm that we have applied to Mitsubishi Motors, Japan, to
ascertain whether your vehicle(s) are included in this campaign. Once we
receive a response, we will contact you again."

Will keep you posted. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Looking at Phil's shorty sunroof crank when i first saw it i thought damn! that's identical to the one i had in my conquest!

Your in Ontario, so New York and New Jersey wrecking yards aren't far for shipping from to order parts. I would try that and i'd almost be willing to bet money that it's the same. Mitsubishi is famous for recycling parts where they can <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Look for sunroof parts from 86 and up starions and conquests.

good luck <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

SUCCESS !!!!!!!!!!!

Jerzboy you are a saviour !

Called 30 wrecking yards in the US...everyone had kept the glass but junked the car and sunroof crank piece. Found ONE place , who, after looking at my pics and dimensions, has stated they have the exact part out of a 87 Starion that has been on their lot for 10 years.

$100.

We'll see if it all works when it arrives.

This may be the dumbest Q ever.....

Pitman arm recall?

Shouldn't it be " Crank bolt pulley " recall? Or is this a recall I am not aware of?

Either way . THANKS.

Can you give me a name/ contact info etc for the email/ letter? I need to to forward this thread/ info to my mitsu dealer with a name who he can contact etc.
