As long as you don't have the LSD, just use 90W gear oil, various types of brands and blends.

Make sure you can get the fill plug off before you pull the drain plug. You dont want to figure out you cant fill it back after it is empty.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

How do I know if I have LSD?

I thought it only came on SR models? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Your LS should have an open diff.

Ok just looked. Assuming it would have been somewhere next to the VIN number---there was no orange sticker anywhere.

What kind of fluid do you guys recommend?

Gear oil. Any brand is fine.

The sticklers will want the Specific dodge Hypoid stuff.

Need a Spot
i used red line's 75w90 gear oil on mine. it is compatible with both open and limited differentials. you can get it for around $8/quart.

Good.

I was hoping I could just run to Autozone and do this in the next day or two <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

Any clue as to how much I'll need?

Thanks a lot everyone!
