A new float will have to be adjusted same as the OLD one... Just open it up and bend the part that touches the needle or the arm itself .. I would bend it to lower the fuel lever bout 1/4 inch.. then see how it fares from that adjustment.

If you did not get all the balls and springs and weights in the correct places you MAY be sucking extra fuel thru the power parts of the carb..
