There was no evidence of debris in any of the oil passages?

Can ya blow air through all of them?

They seam clear. I just blew air through every thing.

Steve, when you pulled the valve cover, was there oil sitting up there? Did it look "fresh"?

Well I added a quart of oil right when it started making all the sound, and I didnÆt pull the valve cover off for a week or so.

Was there galling on the cam journals?

A little bit. But no more than the ôoriginalö head. So IÆm not sure if itÆs anything or not. IÆm going to show it to my local machine shop dude and see if he thinks itÆs anything. IÆd take pics but my camera doesnÆt show that sort of thing very well.

Did you spin the oil pump in the correct direction when you tested it? You hadn't drained the oil first, right?

Ya I think so. But then again that was a few months agoà As for oil, I drained the oil and added some fresh before I spun it. So I guess its possible that oil just didnÆt have a chance to circulate??? I spun it for about a minute with my drill, and nothing. So could that explain why none came up?

Anyway I think I might just have to get it back together and run it before IÆm going to know what the problem was...

I'm also going to take the "bad" block into my local machine shop and have them take a look. Is it possible its one of the bearings on the crank, or something that I just can't see?
