Frank, how do you like your lights and are they on-road legal.

I've been running Hella or Cibie H-4s for years on every vehicle I could. There's a huge difference - particularly since my night vision isn't what it used to be. Are they legal?.... no, probably not, but imo we have some really dumb DOT guidelines. I've always made sure mine are aimed properly..... and I've never had a LEO stop me for lights - even 20+ years ago before xenon/HID headlights were around. I'm only using 55/60W bukbs on the present Cibies, but will probably change to 80/90W when I run out of projects and install another relay and light harness. With properly aimed 80W low beams, there's really not much need to ever use the high beams... but when you do, they really light up the road.

Either Cibie or Hella are good - I have Cibies with the city light wired to come on with the parking lamps so I have daytime running lamps when I want them. The Cibie cornering/driving lamps are wired to work only with the high beams and the Hella fog lamps are wired to only work with the low beams.
