How difficult is the front section of the cable to replace?
The ispection ran out and I have to replace it before inspection.
How hard is it to get one?
Are there any tricks-to-the-trade on putting it back in? Thanks

This is where I got mine, it was about forty-five dollars: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?siteid=214074Not really that hard to change. I did find it easier to pull the handle assembly out to replace the cable. Makes it eaiser to knock the pin out which allows the handle to turn far enough to connect the cable to the handle. The pin I am talking about is at the bottom of the assembly and is what makes the light on the dash turn on/off. It is a press fit pin and needs to be punched out with a pin punch. Do not do like I did and try and twist it out, it breaks easy.

I got one recently from the place OOP'S is suggesting. Good people.
I too broke the pin by twisting so be sure to look at it until you understand it and use a punch.
There are several variations on the part numbers so be sure they select the part by VIN number. They did not do this for me the first time and I got the wrong part and had to send it back.
