I talked to the machinist and he said his boss would allow for them to make me another driveshaft at no charge but they wouldn't pay for my gas tank.

Herrrree we go...

I asked to speak with his manager and he said he'd give him the message to call me. I asked when I would hear from his boss and he said he wasn't sure. I plan on calling at the end of the day tomorrow.

I feel I'm entitled to the tow charge, the driveshaft, and any damage their malfunctioning part may have caused.

Am I wrong?

He tried to say to me that it was my fault because I had them take out the carrier bearing and make me a 1-piece and that was why it broke. It wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that he didn't balance it.

Well... if it wasn't safe then why would you do it?

After I talk to his boss/the owner and he doesn't oblige (which he won't) I'm going to have my lawyer friend speak with them.

...At least I don't have a truck to drive right now.
