I'm not positive exactly where it was leaking from but my gas all leaked out. I figured the tank lost a pinch weld or something but I had a garage inspect it and they said it was the sending unit.
Yes that's on top.
The gas tank got jammed upwards in pretty good fashion and there's not much clearance between the underside of the bed and the top of that sending unit.

I'm not sure where the leak is actually coming from though, just going on what they said.


If the gas tank got pushed up against the underside of the bed it probably cracked the hard lines coming out of the sending unit. They were probably half rusted through anyway being the in northeast rustbelt. Ask me how I know. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I would try to get your lawyer to get reimbursement for the shaft, tank, sending unit and skid plate. It was obviously their fault since the shaft wasnt balanced. Im sure theres many people on this board succesfully running one piece driveshafts.
