I don't think it's due to traction control but on a dry day merging into a faster lane with my pedal at or near the floor, my 2002 would lag for a second before actually going. This is very annoying as that one second is enough for a car to ride my bumper. What is the problem here? If it is traction control, then it is being activated much too soon as there is no tire slippage at all - not even close. How can it spin the tires traveling at 50-55 mph on clean dry highway anyway?
