First thing is to adjust the FAST IDLE screw.. Then with it idling at 800 or so adjust the idle rich screws one at a time.
FIRST after setting the idle to 800 (or so) turn the engine OFF. Then turn each screw in to STOP while counting the turns..then turn them both back to where they were.. This sometimes CLEANS the passage.. Both should be at near the same turns out..
Then start her again and turn both screws OUT one turn...to see if the idle gets faster.. or better If it does turn the FAST IDLE screw back down to 800 again.. then turn them another turn..
What you are looking for is a little richer mixture at idle.
Then turn the idle back down to 700 or so and test drive her.. Don't try to idle her down to 500 that is too slow and you will get engine stopage at red lights.
