Body Damage is Cool
No need to YELL!

Those things is where one should start, not jumping into bypasses.
EFI and never look back, If you go with Howell, spend the extra $$ for the Vehicle speed sensor option and the heated O2 sensor. If running an automatic, get the park neutral switch option too. Adding these things to the basic system makes it start and drive like an OE GM truck.

BUT SEE I HAVE THIS ANGER THING GOING ON WITH THIS JEEP, I CHANGED ALL THE FLUIDS WIRES AND PLUGS NOT TOO LONG AFTER I GOT IT, AND WHAT DID THAT GET ME,,,A BUSTED PISTON. IT SEPERATED AT THE SPOT WHERE THE BOTTOM OIL RING WAS,SO I DID NOT CHANGE THE PLUGS OR WIRES OR CAP AND BUTTON ON IT CAUSE IT DID NOT HAVE 1000 MILE ON IT, FROM THE LAST TUNE UP, I JUST FIGURED IT WOULD NOT NEED IT, WELL IT NEEDS SOMETHING WHAT I DONT KNOW BUT SHE IS SICK AT IDEL. DOWN RAGE RUNS GREAT...SO I JUST FIGURED IF I WAS GONNA KEEP HER I WOULD TRY AND DO THE BEST FOR HER.

Howdy coach I don't know about that yelling deal...it seems sily to me! I guess a bunch of pansys thought that up! As long as you print in almost english I can read it.
Tell me more about that piston! Did you pull the valves on that cylinder and look closely at them? A bad idle can be caused by a small intake valve leak.. which in turn does not matter to increased speed...they will run good at speed till the valve leak gets larger.

Coach after that kind of repair it is a VERY common thing for the intake manifold gasket to have a small leak... Why not retorque all the bolts on the manifolds.. Can't hurt.

BIG JIM....I WAS DRIVING THE OLE GIRL AROUND SOME MORE TODAY AND NOTICED MY TEMP GAUGE HAD QUIT WORKING, CHECKED ALL THE CONNECTIONS TO MAKE SURE THEY WAS TIGHT,AND THEY WAS. HOW CAN I TEST THE UNIT SO SEE IF IT WENT BAD,OR TEST THE WIRE, I LOOKED AT THE GAUGE ONE TIME AND IT READ ABOUT 195-200 AND A LITTLE LATER I GLANCED DOWN AND IT WAS SETTING ON THE 100 MARK, WHICH IS WHERE IT REST ON THE PEG WHEN IT COLD, THANKS FOR YOUR TIME

Well coach like they say "spit happens"! You can look up the resistance of the sending unit and compare it to what you have now... But in similiar situations I have always simply installed a new sender and it has always been the culpret. So Id advise purchasing a new one and installing it to see if the gauge goes back to work for you.
There is a central ground for all the gauges so usually if one does not work ALL fail.
