Do you worry at all about rain? It rains so little here that if it did, (and it has), what gets wet, gets wet. I've had to pull the body plugs from under the back seat to get it out. So that is not an issue. If I'm certain its going to rain on the trail, then I put my regular top on. Otherwise, just bring a plastic tarp just in case. Light rain... who cares. You can see the gap in between the layers at 2 points. This pic was taken before I painted it to match the white color code (original top was black). I like this configuration because it provides shade for the passengers and its easy to get stuff in and out of the back, and nimble passengers can just climb in over the side. I can imagine that a scrollsaw would give a nice straight cut, but mess and awkward as hell. Sawzall maybe? 2 - is it all fiberglass, or is there metal reinforcement in there?
