gotten some more road time including high speed freeway action, narrow windy roads with elavation changes & even a few crowded rush hour trips.

given the many poor quality roads in NJ and even worse drivers, I've now had ample situations that required sudden & heavy braking:

I'm extremely pleased with the performance, if not a little impressed!

pedal is very tractable and the level of stopping power easy to modulate.

an absurdly fast yellow light with a local officer sitting at the intersection resulted in a 50-0 (very!) short distance stop - only had to use what felt like 1/2 the pedal stroke to rein it in with total control.

Sounds like a great idea, especially if you have oversize tires...

from a purely safety perspective I agree 100%

Sounds like a good swap , but the problem here is getting the parts.I can get the rotors , pads and calipers no problem. But the caliper brackets and dust shields won't be easy. Not a lot of isuzus show up at the wreckers , and the ones that do are usualy first gen troopers with the 4 cylinder that the engine is toast so they crush them.

Also its too bad that the rear can't be upgraded also. That would improve overall performance even more with all 4 brakes being beefed up.

more feedback:

I just completed a 2500 mile drive. Trooper had a full cargo box on the roof, and with the back seat up the rear was loaded with stuff - pretty heavy stuff including a transaxle, transfer case, differential, air compressor, tools, boxes of parts, etc.

steep grades, rush hours in a few cities, and of course lots of 18 wheelers jockeying for position- the brakes really were able to keep things in control with all the extra heft.

among the roads covered was the 260-277-Beeline route that drops down the Mogollon rim, lots of 6* grades with very sharp curves and plenty of disturbing skid marks, mangled guardrails and car-b-que spots on the pavement.

not once did i feel like i didn't have enough stopping power with all that weight.

all in all I'm really glad i did this, minimized the pucker factor for sure.

Nice upgrade! However, I'm still working on trying to go faster than stopping faster...

Nice upgrade. Some of the heep drivers scare me, put 36-38" tires on with stock brakes

Will the swap work with the 15" snowflake rims? Since adding the 35s I could definetely use a brake upgrade.
