THE REAR LIKE YOU SAY WOULD BE RELATIVELY EASY SWAP , BUT THE FRONT ON THE 86 , WOULD BE A PAIN AS THE FRONT BRAKES AND THE ENTIRE FRONT END DESIGN WAS COMPLETELY DIFF, THAN THE 87 AND LATER , AXLE SIZE AND THE HUBS ARE MUCH SMALLER AS ARE THE UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS , PROB WITH A BIT OF MACHINE WORK YOU COULD SWAP THE 87 KNUCKLES WHICH WOULD THEN NECESSITATE THE CHANGE TO DIFF AXLES AN D THEN THE TIE RODS ENDS ARE GOING TO BE TOO SMALL, WHAT WOULD BE THE EASIEST SWAP TO GET THE LATER BRAKES AND THE BIGGER AXLES , CUT HE FRONT FRRMAE AND GET AN 87 OR 88 FRT FRAME CLIP COMPLETE WITH ALL THE PARTS AND CLIP IT AT THE FIREWALL THAT WAY YOU GET THE NEWER BALL JOINTS AND THE LARGER UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS AND HEAVEIER STEERING ARMS AND ALL ASSOCIATED PARTS , NOT AS DIFFICULT AS IT SOUNDS BUT NEEDS A GOOD COMPETENT WELDER TO GLUE THE FRAMES BACK TOGETHER .
