I have never had a gasket with this print-a-seal stuff on it before. Does it mean that I don't use rtv on that side of the gasket?

if its the intake gaskets then you dont need any but if you have any doubts about the sealing surface a little smudgin never hurt

Yes, it is the intake gasket. I just hadn't encountered the gasket with a preprinted seal on it before. Thank you for clearing that up for me.
