Im not much on Isuzu deisels but I once worked for a forklift repair service and I seem to remember an isuzu deisel in a forklift that looked much like the one in the pictures. Might be wrong.

COULD VERY WELL BE , IT APPEARS TO BE A VERY EARLY 80,S DSL , DOESNT APPEAR TO BE ANY VEH ENG THAT I CAN FIND ANY INFO ON BACK TO 1984, I AM STILL DIGGING AROUND ON SOME OLDER INFO MANUALS FOR SOME OF THE OLDER ENGS , BUT SO FAR NOTHNG EVEN CLOSE TO THE LOOKS OF THIS ENG, BUT ISUZU BUILT A LOT OF DIFF ENGS WAY ,WAY BACK IT APPEARS TO BE IN THE 2.5 LITER RANGE , THE INJ WITH THE TWO HOLD DOWN BOLTS WERE VERY COMMON ON MARINE AND IND ENGS , I DOUBT THIS IS AN INDUSTRIAL ENG AS THEY HAD SOME WEIRD CRANK SHAFT FLANGES , BUT MOST OF THE MARINE ENGS USED A HOOKUP VERY SIMILAR TO THE AUTOMOTIVE ENGS , JERRY

Jerry I was trying to remember if the isuzu deisel that was in the forklift had some sort of crankshaft adapter. I cant remember but if I run across my ole buddy I will ask him. Im almost sure that the engine in the forklift had the exact same valve cover injector lines etc. If this is true these engines could be adapted to the troopers. Im sure there would be a few around.

PROBABLY MORE FORK LIFT DSL AROUND NOW THAN THE ORIG, TROOPER DSL..AND ODDLY ENOUGH IF THAT IS A FORKLIFT ENG PARTS WOULD MOST LIKELY STILL BE AVAILABLE JERRY

Still searching the net and have not came across any isuzu deisels like the one in this post so far.
