OK, I tried Mrautoparts.com again under V6 Montero & they have the mounts. Nothing under Raider. They are the same part, right?

Thanks for all the help, guys...

Ed

Same/same....... AFAIK, the only difference is badging. I've found it better to always use the Montero lookup for parts... for the 3.0L '89 model year.

Yeah, same part.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

Just a word of caution - 3 weeks ago I bought a set from Mr. Auto Parts also based on recommendations here.

What I got were 2 "DEA" brand boxes, but what was inside was anything but. Both motor mounts were made by different companies - one T&N (molded into the rubber) - the other who knows. Both had different black paint finishes, and they both had the original Mitsu # on them, but the T&N mount had the locator nipple 180 degrees reversed. The "good" no-name brand had the locator nipple on the right side, but it was off by 1/8 to 3/16" - making both unusable. They were shipped back and received by Mr Auto Parts last week Friday.

A week later I have no refund or email telling me what the problem was and if a repalcement batch is being sent.

Mr Auto Parts has a good reputation and he might simply have been given a bad batch - but I got 2 mixed up parts, neither of which worked or came from the same manufacturer.

Don't forget to try NAPA. I am continually surprised with what they can get for Mitsu's. Or call RCSR 800 695 4700 for used. Besides Raider, ask for Montero parts.

I did try NAPA, along with each & every parts house in the area. I work in a salvage yard & would rather not use used parts like that. I continually have to refund money after I tell customers that want expendables (water pumps, belts, engine mounts, carbs)"Mine is as old as yours". I have alot of time and money (in the junkyard world) into this swap, already & want to finish it off right. When fully broken in, I am going to add the 3.8 GM supercharger using the old school caravan/voyager intake manifold & need good mounts.

That said, I might just rework the old ones & use urethane bushings to make them stronger. I do happen to have alot of urethane bushings in a box that I have pulled from Fords.

Thanks...

Ed
