Your thinking of the amigo and rodeo that have dana stuff underneath them.I think they had dana in the rear instead of the 12 bolt.I can't remember if some had the dana in the front , or not. Also I think some had the modified 12 bolt. But yes , they usualy had the 4:10 gears in them where we had the 4:56 in the troopers.

Rodeos ran a GM 10 bolt rear for the first couple of years ('91,'92?), then switched to a Dana 44 rear. For 4x4 models, it's always been the Isuzu corp. 10 bolt front. Gearing for the Rodeos has been a point of discussion more than once with 4.10 and 4.30 ratios coming up most often from what I remember. Sometimes the differences seem to split between 4x2 and 4x4, sometimes years or engines. I haven't yet seen an absolutely definitive listing (although I haven't been to Wayne's info site lately <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />).

I'm not certain about Amigos, since I haven't worked with them myself, but I believe much of the axle optioning was similar to the Rodeo.

LSD in the 1st troopers was an option with the G80 code , not all had them.My 89 didn't have the LSD , but my 90 did and both had the 4:56 gear ratios. Also the code didn't always mean it was in if it was a used vehicle , and the same if it was used and didn't have the code.I ended up adding LSD to my 89 by searching around for one. They were rare to find at wreckers , but I did manage to finaly locate one.

The math of the conversion makes the end result 4.55555555555555~. Some folks just cut it at 2 places, making 4.55, some round creating the 4.56 designation. Same thing, personal preferences.

We moderators sit in a smokey room on January 2nd of every years, discussing this very issue. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

We also draw straws to see which of us has to administer Michael's happy pills. Used to be you could just wrap 'em up in cheese, but he seems to be wisening up... that, and either he's losing weight, I'm gaining it, or (likely) both.

Between these things and keeping Chris Perosi and Michael Wood fed in their respective dungeons, safely protected from society, there's hardly enough time for us moderators to perpetuate the Myth of Uzi. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />
