Getting the Wheeling Fever
Has anyone lowered the upper seatbelt pivot? My seatbelt rubs the bottom of my neck and my daughter and wife cant even use the upper part of the belt because it goes directly accross their necks.

Lowering the pivot point wouldn't be very wise or easy, you would have to reinforce the area where the new pivot point would be located. There are products available that attatch to the belt to lower the shoulder strap for shorter people. You should be able to find them at the dealer or a local parts store.

More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else.

One of my buddies had one of the coolest ideas on this problem. He used a clip. You know those ones that got real popular and people were using them on their keychains. They allow you to hook your keys to a belt loop, backpack, etc. They make some sort of larger ones and he took it and clipped both sides right below the piece connected to the cab. It keeps the arm strap down on your chest. Works perfect! Its kinda hard to explain in words but hopefully you get the idea.

I do not know about other models but on my 90 ex-cab there is already a hole set up for that purpose. It is about four inches below the top hole. You have to pull the plastic trim panel off to see it and drill a hole in the trim panel.

Same on my '87. There's even a dimple in the plastic trim that corresponds to the prethreaded hole.

Just took a look and found the dimple. I'll cut it out today and give it a shot. Thanks!

Us long haired folks, like down to the middle of our backs are following this thread very closely. Yes it does indeed suck to have the seat belts constantly pulling at my hair! No I will not cut it and I encourage others to chime in on their solutions!
