Need a Spot
Alright, I am finally ready to modify by bone stock 96' t-100 5 speed. A friend gave me some 18" mickey thompson wheels (10" wide, 4.5" backspace) with 325/60/18 (33x13.5)ATZ tires. Yeah I know, great friend huh?! Anyway, I know I need to go up to put them on the truck, but how much? Is a 2 inch body lift enough or do I need a 4" suspension lift, or both? Any recommendations on body or suspension lift manufactures? I have been reading posts and surfing the site for several years and thanks to all for all the great advice!

Well a 285/75-16 with OEM 16x7 alloys (+15mm offset or 4 & 5/8"/4.625" back spacing) will result in the tire mildly rubbing the idler arm. 285mm = ~11.2" width (25.4mm to an inch) and you have 325s. 285s on a 16x8 w/4" b.s. will fit with tight tolerences on a 2" bodylift and some minor fenderwell modifications. ErikB and others did 33x12.5s on 15x8s w/3.75" bs and only rubbed the back of the front fender well.

I'd say you'd need 3/4" - 1" wheel spacers and 3" - 4" of lift to fit without use of a sawzall. But even that may be way off using 10" wide wheels. There was somebody running 15x10s previously and may have been a 3" body lift but will leave that for you to search.

TRD_Justin?

The wheels may be big enough to keep the tire sidewall away from the UCA, but I can't say for sure. Just have to mount one up and see. If they clear, a 2" BL should get the body to clear. With spacers, you may also need to do some firewall hammering too. If you don't want to do that, more lift will be needed.
