Glues tire to rim, less likely to slip and/lose bead.

Not a lot between those two sizes.

Narrow will have higher contact pressure, less likely to hydroplane, better in slush.

Wider will air down better, a little more floatation, wider contact patch and more stable on the highway.

On my 6" rims, I find the 10.50s air down way better than the 9.50s do. Below about 10 psi, the 9.50s buckle up in the middle and sort of squirm on hard surfaces. On one snow run I did, I got to a place where the snow had melted off an uphill paved section and I tried to back up and turn around there. Was at about 6-7 psi on the 9.50s and I could harly back up that slight slope of pavement. The tires would not bite at all (they worked great in the deep snow like that, though). The 10.50s work better aired way down and only start to buckle down around 2-3 psi on the same rims.

I've not run the 9.50 ATs, but on the MTs, I think the tread life on the 10.50 is more than on the 9.50.
