I am starting to tear my 94 rodeo down tommorrow for a sas and a 4.3 swap. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or tips before I jump head first. Another thing I was wondering was do you think that I should start one before the other or do it all at one time. thanks

Take the number of hours and dollars you think it will take and add a zero on the end. No, just give yourself enough time, I mean, is the most important thing. tell us about the plan. What axle, springs? motor?

I would do the sas first because you may have oil pan clearance issues with the ifs

Depending on what vehicle your 4.3 comes from, you may run into some ECM issues. I ran across this thread on another board today. (Crash is a GM tech who really knows his stuff. He, by the way, runs a 4.3 in his roughly Toyota-based buggy). 4.3 Wiring Issues

get all the parts and pieces you need together, take a deep breath, and go at it!
You will eventually run into an unforseen problem or predicament, but stay positive and laugh it off. Figure out how to fix it and take your time. There will be days when you work your butt off and it doesn't LOOK like anything got done, but just keep a comfortable pace and your mind on the prize.
It is a great feeling everytime you reach a new milestone, so setting daily or weekly goals can help keep you motivated and feeling like something is getting done.
I'd love to tell you how it will feel to finish a big project like this, but I haven't finished my own yet (funds ).

Lots of patience...and Lack Of sleep seem to help alot of the Toolers here on 4x4wire. Me personally its the Lack of Funds that lead to the lack of sleep, and then comes the "Man....when it this going to be done...." Just have Patience.

Definately do one project at a time as they are both huge things to take on.Both are going to require lots of fabbing and work to make everything fit and work well.Time , patience and of course money will all come into play. And trust me , once you do one big project , you won't want to jump right into another right away

don't get over anxious to start. make sure you have a complete game plan and have researched all the angles. gather all your parts before you start and make sure you've got money reserved for incidentails. Inadequate preparation is usually what makes these projects the most painful.
