Alright heres the deal: I can not keep a stock 22r togather at all (blown 2 in 3months) so I figure I need to build one up that can sustain a rev without coming apart. I am thinking a 22r that is bored .40 over with forged rods and dome top pistons aught to be plenty substantial. For the top end I plan on a ported and polished head running oversized valves (how big?) with HD springs (how burly?) I know I am gonna need some sort of rocker work but I dont know what. And for a cam I want one that will make power from 1k rpms all the way up to 6.5k rpms.
Also is their any way to put a rev limiter on one of these pigs?

PM ArbitraryNotion. He's got an EB special with some super duper valve springs that he routinely takes to 7+ as far as I know. As for the rev limiter, you generally have to go to an aftermarket ignition that has spark cut at a given RPM.

not really sure about what your trying to do but a 22r wont make any power above 4500 tpms unless yuo worked the hell out of it. an aftermarket ignition system such as MSD box will have an option to add a rev limiter

you might want to have the rotating assembly ballanced.
and dude at 7k your simply not doing anything but floating valves. the only way id take a 22r that hight is if it was an lc engineering pro race engine. and that would be on accident. that kind of rpms is not good for these engines and is not nescessary and is really pointless. but its your money. if you want power look in to the lexus v8 swap. or a supra swap.
