I have been sorta neglectful in the fire prevention and preparedness arena lately. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> But, not anymore! The image below shows my two newly mounted fire extinguishers.

If you would like to see the complete writeup, I have it here on my local 4wheel group's site: Trooper fire extinguisher mounting mod

Hope that it adds something to the KB. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Body Damage is Cool
cool <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> Just keep in mind what that stuff dose after the fact. The powder stuff is highly corrosive.

Personally, IÆm partial to halon. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

Nice work. I carry one with me at all times also. Came in very useful last month when a friends newly aquired jeep's carb caught fire (leaky gaskets shown after the needle in the carb didn't seal). He hadn't gotten a chance to get an extinguisher yet, luckily I had decided to take my trooper out for a bit of fun with him otherwise his new investment would've gone up.

You took out the rear seatbelts?

I have my fire extinguisher mounted on the driverside doorsill.

<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Yep. As you see, I also do not have any rear seats. So, no seat belts necessary. Ton's O room back there. You know, fellow Trooperian. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

if you have a B,C class extiguisher it is no corrosive. If it is an A,B,C then it is corrosive. Halon is nice but is no longer manufactured once its gone there will be no more. the supply is limited on the market. There are alternatives coming soon.

Looks good though. I know I put one in after watching a suburban burn up on the beach in nags head
