Getting the Wheeling Fever

Anyone know how to get a 4L30E transmission out of limp mode? It shifts fine manually but not otherwise.This all started after a new engine install...There was no previous problem with it before...Also where does one read the transmission control module for trouble codes? I read somewhere that its the green plug near the ECM plug..Is that true? I have a '95 Trooper w/a 3.2 SOHC...TIA...John
