I don't think so. Does it stay running, but just badly ? Alt problems usually show up as it will start, and run for a few seconds, then die. This is because the power to the fuel pump gets killed if the alt isn't working properly. C/YA! Re: 2.6L not starting [Re: wontonsoup] #760588 11/13/06 06:19 PM Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 19 D dozier13 OP Need a Spot and yes, jeff, I got the liitle trooper all ready to go...looks rough but starts right up and drives just as good as it did when it had the old engine....now just gotta get a new muffler to keep it quiet but other than that its ready to roll...maybe I can finally squeeze in a camping trip up to tellico before the end of november!
