Body Damage is Cool
As some of you know, I bought the Alpine supercharger that was on ebay not to long ago.
Its alittle dirty and missing a few parts, but pretty much all there.
I paid $365 for it, new this kit was $3,200 .
Its going on my brothers 98 amigo 3.2l.

This is an older kit. It has an extra injector, I think it was for the "unichip" that alpine sells. I'm going to bypass it, I'm pretty sure is not needed.

I think the guy that I got it from found it at a junk yard, Its a good unit off of a totaled rodeo.
Anyway here are a few pictures of it.

just out of the box...

What kind of unit is it? Does Alpine make the blower? You gonna rebuild it? Looks great.

I'd say I'll have a solution to the rattle at idle that most Alpine superchargers have. I'll try and work on it maybe this weekend and see if it works. If I do get it fixed, it will be way less expensive than the new "updated" nose piece that Alpine is selling for 500 bucks.

I'll get back with you. Looks good so far, are you going to rebuild the rotors or are they fine?

No, it's an Eaton M62 supercharger. Alpine just did the intake design and packaged the unit, one of the first ones they ever built by the looks of things. Alpine now uses thier own fuel rails, instead of reusing the stock rail.

According to their website, http://www.alpine-developments.us/id22.html , it's an Eaton M62 supercharger.

I got some more done to this. I repainted it, and polished it up a bit. Its starting to come around.
We have to order a few parts from alpine before we can install it. hopfuly that will be soon. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I used some of my dads aircraft hardware for the drain plug.

A 3/8 to 1/4" socket adapter worked perfect to plug the extra injector plug.
