i haven't changed the tanks yet, but i got the new one from the stealership. i couldn't wait a week or two for one from kiaparts.com. my brother is going to be here this weekend, he's going to help me change it out. i'll take pics and try to post them soon. the crack was about a quarter inch in length and doesn't just drip it squirts almost 3 gallons a day. the crack is in the middle of a bend on the bottom of the tank, not far from the drain hole. anyway, on a good note, i passed my final exam for entrance into management for the company i work for tonight, and should be on a little more often than once a month now. it's good to be missed, i figured no one would care that i was gone. later.

Thanks, and CONGRATS on passing the exam!!!

I'll be pulling my skid plate off to locate the crack in mine as soon as I can find enough time and a warm location to do it in.

Been rather cold here lately and time will be freeing up a little bit with the X-mas holiday rapidly approaching.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
OK, so I know it's been a while, but so you don't think I forgot or that I'll disappear like seems to happen a lot around here...I just shipped the prototype front skidplate to Hydra747 for testing (since I can't do it myself right now) so I can be sure the print is right. This a stock replacement piece, only thicker. Don't count on a fuel tank plate until...at least April when I can get outside a bit more and do actual fitup and stuff. Until then, not to put any pressure on you Hydra, but it's all on you, man! (oh yeah, and check your email)

Plenty warm over here....almost a million hectares (2.5 million acres = ~60 miles square) burnt out in our states east over the last couple of weeks, so smokey they couldn't get "Elvis" or any other air support flying due to low visibility (at times less than 400 yards in the capital city, 150 miles away!!!).

Is there any chance of making a PDF diagram of this new bashplate, showing folds/welds/holes/mounts, etc???

No, that would be overkill. It's a simple plate guard for Lords sake You will get Your Specs /info. and lots of photos. All those interested keep an alert eye open It should be interesting ........
