The main problem I see with that set of rules is that its not gonna be an entry level class. From what I'm reading I could take one of BTFs new RedBull chassis, build it just like Beccas new one except put 44s under it, have CTM build me some BLING 300m shafts and joints, twinstick a D300 with 32spline outputs, and put a turbo/SC ecotech in it and have a car that'll both fit the F4 rules and be a competitive Pro-Modified. That puts the pricepoint around $65-80k. If I'm gonna put that kinda money into a rig why not just get into one of the successful existing classes and put axles in it that aren't gonna break constantly? IMHO this class sounds more expensive than Pro-Mod when you factor in repairs.

Body Damage is Cool
I get what you mean. My hope was that the open rules would allow more people to get in on it, just take their trail rig, adjust for the safety rules and have some fun. And then the fact that there is no prize money involved would keep the heavy hitters in their own classes. but it seems to be evolving into a bigger deal.

Keep in mind, even in the big classes prize money is pretty meaningless. Last time we won a competition the winnings didn't even pay for the gas to get there and back.
