I will do my homework and call them up. I went to Al and Ed's Autosound tonight and the guy priced the setup around $900 so I just walked away....

Body Damage is Cool
I have one basslink and it's got way too much bass. It came with a remote gain adjuster and it's usually half way up.
I use an Alpine 7878's internal crossover to control it. I cut is at 80hz with 18oct/db.

boom boom boom.

I just bought the same thing from the same company last week. They're a great company and I'd recommend them to anyone. I don't have it wired up entirely as I'm working on custom mounts for the component speakers in the front doors (I have a 94 pickup extended cab).

The power it's running off now is run through my aux fuse box (I know... bad) so I have yet to experience it's full capabilities. But right now, it'll give enough bass to make the speedo needle bounce, which is enough for me.

Everyone is right when they say that it won't produce bass as good as a sealed box and seperate amp. I know because I've been there. I spent $550 on 2 DEI Pro 10" subs in a sealed box, powered by a 300 watt DEI amp that I had in my honda accord. It was great bass and I miss it, but it was way too much for my truck.

I'm going to finish setting up my system and if I'm still not happy with the bass, I'll send the Basslink back and get the box, sub, and amp. I like the fact that it's an all in 1 package and if I need to move it, I can do so easily. But it's all about the quality, so if it doesnt thump like I want it, it's gone. I can let you know what I do when I finish everything up but that's going to be at least a week. But it'll make for a strange comparison because I have a pickup and you have a 4Runner.

Reapur- what were your final settings on the amp? I'm still trying to find the best combo with the gain, cutoff frequency, and bass boost. Does wiring the remote make it any louder?

The Basslink only costs around $200 on the internet. Do a search.

Golden, if its bass you want the basslink wont dissapoint. I put one in my wifes truck and for one 10incher it sounds amazing. Good bang for the buck. It also can be spliced into the speaker wires going to your speakers and then you dont have to hook up a seperate turn on lead.

I already made up my mind and I will buy just one basslink. I went to Circuit City and listened to one and there was actually a Sequoia being fitted with one basslink and it sounded good to me. But CC charges 150 for installation

If you do have time to check it out, I highly recommend the Boston Acoustics C110.

I have one and it sounds [JJ] dynomite! [/JJ] It's so tiny but your friends won't believe it's 1 10" sub back there. The bass is tight too. I love mine.

That's a nice compact box you have. If I buy a box, a sub and an amp plus install will cost me more I could probably save 150 if I do the install myself but I have never done it before. I don't want to burn my truck or myself
