I got a Warn winch from a friend, it says it is an 8403 but it looks the same as an 8274, and I've seen a couple of comments on the internet to suggest it is the same thing.

I've gone to the Warn website and I have the owner's manual for the 8274-50. Am I safe to assume it is the same wiring? I've asked warn for the manual for the 8403. But I thought I would ask here what experience people have had with this winch, and is it more or less the same as an 8274?

Good and bad about this? What should I check out before trying to use it?
