I think you're taking my comment completely out of context. I stated that to remove a working EGR for no reason would increase NOx emissions, and thus increase the pollution produced by my truck and thus "I felt it would be" environmentally irresponsible. If the system is not working, that's a whole other issue.

I'm not sure how this could be seen as a rant. And I'm not sure what it has to do with low-flush toilets. For the record, I try to make my 4wheeling low-impact: I stay on designated trails, pack out more than I pack in, etc etc but IMHO this has absolutely nothing to do with our Exhaust Gas Recirc discussion, and I fail to see the relevance...
