Getting the Wheeling Fever
Anybody know of a good source for these? There's a guy on ebay selling one for a 98 which would probably work fine for my 97. Only problem is, he wants $145 for it. I looked on Toyota's website to see how much a new one was and if I'm not mistaken they have them for $118. I still wouldn't mind getting a used one for half that much if its possible.

I've had this truck for a couple of years now and so far have only replaced the starter, oil, and gas. Its time for some major work though and I'd like to have the factory book to do it.
Thanks
Don

If you've got a fast connection and $10, you can download the entire manual here (in pdf):
http://techinfo.toyota.com/
$10 will buy you a 1 day subscription and then you'll do lots of clicking. You can get the full repair manual, electrical diagrams, auto transmission repair manual, collision repair manual, and your owner's manual.
Good luck! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Thanks Perp. I would really like to have the book format but I think I can suffer the minor inconvenience of making the book myself for that kind of money savings. It looks as though I can actually download everything to my hard drive and print it out at my leisure. That's pretty cool too becuase then when I spill oil and beer on a page and ruin it, I can just print it out again.

I could even buy a new printer and still save money, which would make the wife happy. Have you done this?

I pay plenty for it but my internet connection is Comcastic!

Anyone else here done this? Do I have to print each page as I go or save each one individually or what?

You can save it and go back and print it later. They are in Adobe PDF format. There are several files for each subject (cruise control, A/C, Emissions, etc.). I saved each file individually and stuffed them into different subject folders. It takes a bit of time but you get into a rhythm after a while. There is a discussion somewhere in the archives about how to save them all at once if you want to try to find it.

Sweet! That's what I wanted to know. I think I'm going to try to do this either tonight or tomorrow night. How many uninterrupted hours does it take approximately? Can I do it all in one evening?

A good connection, less than 2 hours and a six pack is all you need

Sweet. If I can just block off two hours, I've got everything else covered. Thanks to everyone who answered here. I'm probably going to be a little more active here now. I haven't spent too much time here since I bought the truck because 1) basically nothing goes wrong with it, 2)I'm not turning it into an off-road beast.

Thanks again all.
