My magnetic pickup tool could not lift the ball either. The magnet was not strong enough. However, I did go to HomeDepot and purchase a magnetic pickup with a neodymium magnet. VERY STRONG pull. Like this one:



When I came back to the wrenching party, my frustrated friends (couldn't get that *@%! ball out either) had my transmission ripped (Terry, you know who you are!!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />) from my Trooper! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> The first time that I placed the small neodymium magnet pickup in the ball channel, it picked it right up!
