My wife and I were riding trails near Stevens Pass today in the driving rain. Went through 3 or 4 large water pits. The fourth was deeper, just 2 inches from the top of the tires and the engine just stopped at once, in the middle. Would not restart, the starter would engage but would not crank over the engine. We took off our shoes, socks and pants and climbed out into the thigh deep freezing water and walked until we could get a lift 15 miles into town. The tow bill was $368.90, and the truck is in a parking lot. I want to go back tomorrow and get it.
Any advice about how to start it, anything I need to do to the truck before running it, etc? Did I ruin it? Please help!
By the way, my wife told me not to go into that last pit...
Thanks
Mark
