Just ordered Manual Warn Hubs for my 96 Sportage for $116.19 with Free Shipping, from AMAZON. COM. Then, after a promotional code of $20.00 off, it comes to $96.19. THEN, if you sign up and qualify for a AMAZON.COM credit card, and purchase them with the new card, you get a $30.00 credit!!! Final price of $66.19 shipped <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
A couple of hints. First open up an AMAZON.COM account. Then open up AMAZON credit card account with the $30.00 credit they advertise. Then check and make sure your AMAZON account has the AMAZON credit card attached to your AMAZON account.
You will find the Warn Hubs on AMAZON.COM at the following url: WARN HUBS Make sure when you are ordering you include the promotional code: ILW7MGWS in the promotional box.
If you can beat this deal....let everyone know. Otherwise...order up! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
My wife couldn't even believe this deal and told me I better order it,<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" /> cause it is only on until 11/14/06 <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />

GOTTA LOVE A GAL LIKE THAT!!!

*edit* ok, this sucks for me!!!!, they can only be ordered in the states.

I have the warn atomatic hubs now. would i benefit much swithing to the manuals. other than in the winter, which is 8 months out of the year here, i would have to get out in the cold to engage.

Perfect, I just had my autolocking pieces of junk go on me this weekend and I thought I was going to have to dump $160+shipping on a set of manual hubs. I think the vacumm tube went on them but I just don't trust them and since we have been getting snow already up here in Maine I don't want to risk it when there is a foot and a half of snow on the ground in the months to come. Thanks again. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

WOW, your wife ROCKS!!!

That's a good deal! Local Warn dealer wants $120.00 plus shipping and I don't want to even talk to the KIA dealer.
(Just checked and the STEALER wants $252.10 and will have to order them from San Jose.

I went hunting last month and when I locked in my manual Warn hubs the outer spring on the passenger side didn't have enough grunt to keep the gear ring locked.

FYI - Over time the manual hubs loose their lubrication and if you don't cycle them they freeze/lock-up. Yearly P/M is required.

My passenger hub was simi frozen and when I put a lot of load on them trying to climb out of a rut the outer spring broke or got sprung.

Now when I lock my hubs the left side slips and sounds like the teeth are grinding on the axle shaft and the front drive shaft just spins. I pulled the hub off the axel and everything looks OK, but I still need to get to the outer spring to replace it.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Warn manual hubs, but wish they would sale a rebuild kit or just some of the parts so I could fix mine.

However, at $96.19 I think it might be worth having a spare set in the vehicle at all times just in case.

We have 6-8 months of snow here too and I switched to the manual locking hubs after the auto hubs failed the first time. They were covered under warrantee and know when I lock them in they'll work. The double diaphragm design of the auto locking hubs freezes up and gets dirty to easily.

Do the credit card thing too and get the additional $30, then pay off the card and cut it up. It's a no fee card. Then you get them for 66.19!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> Can't afford not to do them.<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

are the warn auto hubs still the double diaphram design?
because they had a recall in canada, and replaced the vacum actuated hubs with warn auto's.

These are the Manual ones...where you have to get out and turn them to lock. They are not the automatic ones (more $$$'s and weaker according to various people on this forum) I believe the present automatic Warn Hubs are similar to the ones on a '96 but stronger. The vacuum ones sound like they just not worth having over time (once again according to several posts on this forum) and in the installation manual for the ones I ordered, they tell you how to disable the vacuum system.

ya, i get the fact that the ones you ordered are the manual ones. what i am asking is this, would it be worth swapping to the manual hubs, and trying to get someone to order them for me, because i live in canada, and amazon will only ship to the states. as i already have the warn auto hubs due to a canadian factory recall on the P.O.S. vacum oem auto hubs.

or should i just wait till my warn auto's crap out and worry about it then?

I got my Warn manual hubs at the Parts Source on Fort road, cost $110.00 CDN which was $70 cheaper than anywhere else.
