I've got a D44 in the axle bank for you to install.

- Does the D44 have similar ratio than Montero/Raider?

Outstanding! Thanks for feeding us the details, with pics. Absolutely awesome! We'd love to be kept updated on this project...

We can put a 4.56 ring and pinion, in there. In the junkyard .. prob cost around 60-80 to get it out of there, and around 450-900 to rebuild, and regear it depending on locker choice.

I second the tire smoke. You don't have to have a drivers seat to burn the tires do you?

Very nice job here. I earn my living modifying things and it is nice to see someone who is not afraid to cut in to get a job done.
If I were to critique the exhaust, running 2 1/2 back from the engine to a Magnaflow 12288 or similar that would give a 3" outlet would give you a more balanced flow with no loss of power. If the engine was another 20hp more then 2 3/4 front pipes would be in order. Magnaflow does make plenty of dual in dual out mufflers that would have lowered your workload a bit. But I do again have to say, nice job here.
Good job getting the driveline to set in place and keeping the length in order. I am looking forward to how you go about your next step in axles.

Cheers, Charlie

I have to drive to Denver on the 12th. I would sure like to see this rig. Where are you located?

Well on my way to becoming that eccentric old man in every town.(crazy as a s#@thouse rat) With a yard full of desireable old vehicles that tells you, Sorry they're not for sale..... Someday I'm going to fix them.

Thanks a lot for the comments. I understand what you are saying. Building the exhaust I also kept in mind that maybe one day I want to go for headers or/and different cam or/and blower, so I went bigger hoping that it could save me some time in the future, if I'd like to go for more power (there is never enogh power, you know).

Interesting to see the exhaust running on the inside!!!

Is there any body lift done (didn't notice any reference to one) ?

When I put the 4.3 in, I needed a 2" lift to fit the GM trans/tcase.

- The exhaust was actually outside after the floor was made
- No body lift, that's why the floor is cut
