I think you have a classic case of hydraulic dead heading. You are trying to push more fluid through the system than the lines and pump will handle. I think you could install a hydraulic pressure relief valve in the pump output line and cure it. The max system pressure is supposed to be about 1160psi with the pump deadheading against a gauge, so I'd use a 1000-1500psi adj. relief valve
I would think it's a situation of mismatched flow. If the extra flow has to be dumped over a relief valve, this will generate heat. The change in energy state (pressurized) to a lower state (unpressurized) has to be converted into something and that's heat. I'd say the solution is to either use matched components or a big cooler. No, the effect would be quite opposite changing from pressurized to non-pressurized would actually cool it not heat it up. That's how refrigeration in general works. Loss of energy(depressurization) cann't coninside with acquiring of energy - heating up. Pressure relif valve at the pump won't help/make any difference either, actually I'm pretty sure pump already has one at least I wouldn't make one without, since it will still keep system pressurized all the time. System pressure won't exceed pressure set by relief valve but who says it does.

Frank, Must have been a great visit! Truck looks FULL! I noticed the carbon cannister is unconnected. Any details? I like the laptop holder with the Garmin handheld GPS! Spring wrap is an issue with the 4.3 as well, I've been avoiding hard acceleration...

Frank, if I knew that you put pics up here, I would have cleaned the car a bit <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I noticed the carbon cannister is unconnected. Any details? Not much to say... I didn't connect it at the beginning and this job has been pushed down and down in priority list. I have not done much research, how should it be connected. Normally there should be a valve controlled by ECU between canister and intake... About springs. I have replaced them for 3 times. First I put an extra torque bar, but still bent the springs. The solution came with D50 springs, that have 2 leaves coming to front pick up point and the leaves are 1 mm thicker ![[Linked Image]](http://i84.imagethrust.com/t/537486/spring1.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i83.imagethrust.com/t/537487/spring2.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i83.imagethrust.com/t/537488/extrabar.jpg)
