I put the A/C system from a V6 onto my 4Cyl. I ended up buying a 4cyl compressor and bracket and mounting the top part of the V6 compressor(with the fittings)onto it so the bends of the hoses would go in the right directions.

It's not that hard if you have good access to the donor vehicle. In addition to the parts under the hood, you'll also need the AC amplifer located behind the glovebox, the AC button, and the wiring harness that runs between the button and amplifier. You may also need a valve from the vacuum system to increase the idle when the AC is on (I'm not sure how it works on the V6). Replace all the o-rings with the new green HNBR ones and always replace the dryer whenever the system has been opened.

The only special tool needed was the pump to draw all the air out of the system before adding the refridgerant. If you know someone who does HVAC work, they'll probably have one.

Good Luck! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
