Anyone got a part number for FRONT disk pads for the V24 SWB 2.5 TD? The 1991 and 1992 Montero pads do not seem to fit.

The mechanic said he tried both the 1992 and 1991 pads. The parts place listed both 1992 and "late 1991" pads in their book for the Montero. I am wondering if this a SWB vs. LWB issue??

I replaced rears on LWB 2 weeks ago, the shop had few options for the pads, best to remove it and bring it in. They sent 2 types one worked and one didn't.I believe they were Raybestos but I will go to the shop and find out for sure. It might give a reference at least.

I'd be interested in the part numbers for the pads if you've got them. Mine have just about bit the biscuit.

Probably this info won't help you, but here it is anyway.
I called my local store, and they gave me these numbers for the V24 Montero 2.5 2 Door (Kashima Plus part numbers):

MP313
MP423 (Older)

I'll try to get the OEM part numbers.

Here are the OEM part numbers for the V24 brake pads:

MB858399
MB895250
MD530 -- most likely to be found in the US

Hope it helps.

Thanks <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />- I will have to pull a wheel and take the pad into the shop to be sure it will fit. Pending that I will await any Canadian answers...

Guys

I can't offer much, but remember the Pajeros in Japan were launched earlier than in the UK (that is the model/Mk changes) so it is possible to have a 91 MkII.

However:-

Brake Pads (front) - 1987 - 1992 single piston caliper
complete length of pad - 128mm

Brake Pads (front) - 1992 - 1997/8 twin piston caliper
complete length of pad - 150mm

NO differentiation between LWB & SWB
