im not so sure about the alternator idea. i have the same problem on my truck. ive checked everything over, except the wiring on the cap. i recently replaced the alternator with a rebuilt unit, and the light stays on. now that ive read this thread though, im going to check the wiring tonight.

Good to know. Please post what you find out, and that'll help me decide which way to go. I haven't had a chance to check the wiring yet either.
