I bought it from a guy down in Eugene, Oregon who has a passion for diesels. Im not sure about the 4m40. I think this engine was a JDM import. The sticker on the Tbelt cover is in Japanese and has 99k kilometers hand written on it. I believe the only Mitsu diesel the US saw was the 4D55 I could be wrong though. This engine is very clean and complete minus the starter.
