Has anyone replaced their own 3.2 lower manifold gasket?
How tough is it? I've got the manual and it does not look to bad.
Do I need anything besides the gasket and tools? Other gaskets ect.

I need to confirm that's the problem but I've seen this trick a couple of times already. I just need to get a code reader and make sure it comes up lean bank 1 or 2.

PS hi Sean! Now that I have a daily driver I ready to play again!

Aprox 140,000

This will be the 3rd or 4th one since new. The others were all covered by Isuzu.

The lean condition is a great indicator. Don't forget the cheap man's trick of carefully spraying carb cleaner around the mounting surface of the intake to see if the RPM's go up. You've gone through more power steerings racks, intake manifold gaskets, and CV's than any other 2nd gen Amigo owner I know

With required on-topic content taken care of... may I direct your attention toward THIS Saturday's Badlands run. I'm always speaking of the legend of Dave and Rick to the new guys... Dave has at least shown up a time or two so people know I'm not crazy.

I'd love to but I need to get the engine fixed first.

Body Damage is Cool
No, its not bad. but I suppose it could have gone worse. I left the fuel rails connected and had a spiderweb of bungee cords and ratchet straps to hold the intake up high enough to reach the back and get the intake over the head bolts. I don't know how the manual says to do it.

The only thing I would have done differently would be to powerwash the surrounding area really well before hand. I had a ton of dirt packed in there that made me nervous I was going to drop it down "the holes".

when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.
