I also have the flowmaster 50 series delta flow on my 22RE. Nice and quiet but sound great when you step on it.

I have the Flowmaster 40 Series on mine...it's a tad more aggressive sounding than the 50 Series. No complaints here...

I picked up a Magnaflow (Car-sound) Catalytic converter and a Dynomax glass pack muffler for my 4 cylinder. And lemme just say... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> Damn nice sound.
Not tinny/ricey, low rpms have a very crisp low tone. Great lobeing.
$50 for the cat and $18 for the muffler. Can't go wrong. I'll post a video up of it or send you a link if you'd like to hear it.

well if cats didnt cost so damn much to replace i bet more people would run them.

i couldnt agree more about pollution being caused by cars and trucks but no matter how you look at it the ammount of pollution a few trucks cause really cant compare to all the oil wells that were set on fire or all the stuff going over in iraq immagine all the pollution those tanks and humvees are putting out. not to mention the factories and nuclear pollution going on. i wish people would realize were all a bunch of lemmings when you really think about it were going to self destruct....

Just my opinion and all, but I like it quiet. So I went with stock.

I have a flowMaster 40 series and I don't like it. it reverberates when your on the gas pedal above 3000 rpm....kind of annoying, I think. when it's not reverberating it souns pretty good. Nice low tone. I've considered going to a 50 series delta flow. Suposedly they don;t reverb.

Also....you guys not running cats.....your motors are not running correctly either. the cat is an intregral part of setting the mixture correctly.

I don't think the cat is an issue unless you have an O2 sensor after the cat. My O2 is before my cat so what happens after that doesn't change anything, as far as the engine fuel mixture is concerned.

Even setups with the 02 sensor pre catalytic require having a cat on them to run properly/effecient. After doing some heavy math on exhaust flow on a 2" system, straight pipes (Header/No cat/Muffler) flow at 407cfm while the same setup with a Magnaflow cat (and other brands apply to being high flow Ie "Borla/Dynomax" so on and so forth) They were running Header/Cat/Muffler and it did 397cfm.
Long story short, Cat's improve gas mpg while keeping the vehicle effecient and exhaust clean(er), plus help Gain power in the powerband. A friend of mine has an 97 plymouth with no cat, and lemme tell you, Not only does OBDII systems not know how to recalibrate for that item missing but it sounds like an angry bee coming up behind you spewing gas droplets out the back. Yum Yum.
