Getting the Wheeling Fever

I just got some new aluminum wheels from a 98 trooper for my 88 trooper II, and now I need tires. I am thinking about the Dunlop Radial Rover A/Ts, but I need to know how big I can get. I was thinking some 245/70-16's which are about 30's. Is it ok to go that big without rub and or other problems such as gearing?
