ok so yesterday i got drowneded. i need to put a snorel on my truck. what are the power loss issues? what should it be made of? how big of tube? bigger better? i was thinking of running it all the way to the back of my suv and have it suck from the back side. is this a bad idea? let me know what you all think. ben

I would stick with running it up the A-pillar. Alot of dust swirrels around the back of vehicles. As far as power loss? I think they actually increase power a little because of cooler air being mixed with the fuel.
Maybe someone who actually has a snorkel will chime in and help you. What kind of truck? -Chris

cost is too much for buying one. i like welding and doing my own projects. more pride taken that way.

Ben, I'm with you on that! I try to do things myself as well. Search "snorkel" in the Toyota or Mitsubishi section. The guys there have worked out all details. Many have made their own as well. Chris
