Have just about finished work on my '94 LWB - 3" body lift, 4" suspension lift, 37" wheels, water/air intercooler, dual shock, etc (pictures on Monday - if I can figure out how to post 'em!)

As part of the work I swapped out the auto trans for a manual. Now, those of use who have done body lifts before are probably aware that the more you lift, the more you have to trim from the floor to let the gearstick move properly. Well, I've got a fix for this. Not the cheapest, but boy it works well! I stripped down both the gear stick and the t/fer case lever and got the levers cut between the pivot point and the end which moves the bits in the gearbox, and got an additional 2" welded in. Then I made up (from UHMPE) 2" blocks which bolts on to the top of the gearbox where the lever usually is mounted. Then I mounted the extended levers on to these. The result is that I can still use the original console and lever boots, and have a much shorter shift for the lever! Works & looks cool! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
